Indigo Design was started by Sue Hoffman in 2001 with a small computer, one nonprofit client and a dream.

We're often asked "why Indigo?" The temporary name came from the little starter computer that the company started on. (See in the video to your right) We've long since outgrown that computer, and many since, but the initials of I.D. seemed to make a lot of sense, so the name stuck.

In 2003, we began specializing in nonprofit clients and in 2007 changed the name to Indigo 501. Keeping the "Indigo" that our clients have come to know so well, while updating our name to reflect the specialty (nonprofits aka 501c3 companies) we love so much.

Do you have to be a nonprofit to be our client?

NO. It is a specialty on our part, not a requirement on yours.
